At present the group has incorporated under the name Gordon-Rushville Public School Foundation, Inc. and is currently receiving gifts for the following areas of funding:

Permanent Endowment

This fund becomes the basic building block which will be forever permanent to generate interest and to fund all areas.

Specified scholarships

These scholarships are set out by the donor according the their wishes and criteria

Unspecified scholarships

These scholarships are awarded by the foundation directors and School staff

Special Projects

·      Supplement the general academic or vocations programs

·      Supplement the activities provided by the school

·      Provide funds for others ways to enhance the ability of GRHS to provide a superior education

General

Any unspecified funds (small or large) will go in this fund.  The Board of Directors will direct the funds to the greatest needs.

In addition the group is in the process of designing a website (www.grpsfoundation.org) with links from Gordon-Rushville Public Schools website (www.grmustangs.org) and establishing policies for management of the funds and drafting forms to set out donor wishes and scholarship criteria.

The GRPS Foundation is a legally incorporated non-profit organization that has been established in accordance with existing state and federal tax laws (501-C3)

There is a growing need to provide general financial help the district directly because the state and federal money is decreasing and, school administrators are scrambling to find ways to make up the difference.

The GRPS Foundation invites you to join us in this important endeavor.   Gifts or bequests to the foundation can be a lasting tribute to a loved one, a part of estate planning, or a simple way to say thanks to the school that provided you with your education.

All gifts large or small are greatly appreciated, and are tax deductible.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact Gordon-Rushville School Superintendent @ 308-282-1322.  Inquires maybe mailed to GR Public School Foundation;  c/o GRHS;  PO Box 530; Gordon, NE  69343.
